You asked for it, and again, we listened.
Since the release of our site, users, anglers and industry personnel have been blown away with the amount of information on our site. They’ve enjoyed the two-year criteria on the world rankings, and have played for hours with the Custom Search.
Yet the one thing that kept popping up was the want for a one-year world ranking to show who is the best lately. While it was possible to gather that information via our Custom Search, we wanted to make it easier for users to access that information. Hence, you will now find a one-year criteria world ranking for Majors, BASS Elites, FLW Tour and PAA on the homepage, with Minors and Women coming soon.
Here is a break down of our criteria for an angler to be included in our world rankings:
Majors, BASS Elite Series, FLW Tour – 10 tournaments over 2 years; five tournaments in 1 year.
PAA – Five tournaments over 2 years; two tournaments in 1 year (this is due to a decreased number of events in a given year).
One thing to note is that our one-year rankings will not always line up with the Angler of the Year standings on a given tournament trail. The reason is the AOY standings only include events for that season, while ours cover events for a full calendar year, which will often include championships.
