Bass Rankings Launches Media Poll

When it comes to rankings, we all have opinions. Now, the opinions on who are the best anglers are in one place.

Bass Rankings, a Website devoted to keeping statistics and ranking tournament bass anglers, has brought together a number of the industry’s experts to create the first tournament bass fishing opinion poll — the Media Poll.

This ranking will deal with Major-level anglers, though the opinions of the experts can be based on all levels of tournament bass fishing. In other words, if an expert wants to take into account Minor-level events or he doesn’t, that’s his opinion. We simply combined all their opinions in one place to reflect popular opinion at a given time, which offers a complimentary view to Bass Rankings’ statistical rankings.

The experts were asked to rank the top 20 anglers on all three Major tours, with the lone exceptions being Ken Duke and Chad Gay, who will just rank BASS and FLW anglers, respectively, as these are the organizations they work for and they will serve to offset each other. Other experts participating in this poll are Terry Brown from, Mark Jefferys from, and Jesse Schultz from Visitors can see bios of the experts, along with their individual picks via the drop-down menu in the navigation.
