Trevor Fitzgerald has become the on-again, off-again girlfriend of the Minors-Only Ranking top 10.
A former No. 1-ranked Minor angler, he dropped off the ranking when he didn’t fish enough events. Then he redebuted back in the top five a couple weeks back only drop off last week when a 2011 tournament dropped off.
Now, he’s back at No. 3 after finishing sixth at the BASS Open on Lake Toho over the weekend. His next tournament doesn’t drop off until March, so if he fishes another event before then, who knows. Maybe he’ll stick around for awhile.
Meanwhile, the rest of the top 20 remains unchanged. You have to go to No. 23 to find a new name, as Luke Gritter slipped from 23rd to 29th over the weekend.
Then we have some moves in the 40s. Shane Lineberger made quite the jump (64th to 46th) after Toho, as did Tracy Adams (66th to 49th). Meanwhile, Monte Knight slipped from 44th to 54th
