Michels’ lead slims, Borofka debuts at No. 6

Jeff Michels is still the reigning No. 1 angler in the Minors-Only Ranking. The question is: For how long?

Michels finished 27th at the Rayovac Series event at Lake Havasu over the weekend, which hurt his average slightly and slimmed the distance between him and No. 2, Chris McCall.

Meanwhile, Jason Borofka finished second in the event, allowing him to debut at No. 6 in the ranking. The finish was Borofka’s second second-place finish in a row and third top 10 in his last five events.

Michael Wright made a push top get back into the top 10 thanks to a poor tournament from 2012 dropping off and his 29th at Havasu. He sits in 11th.

Make sure to check out the rest of the Minors-Only Ranking, and the Regional Ranking after the  events this past weekend.
