It’s said you can’t win a tournament on the first day, but you sure can lose it. Takahiro Omori nearly lost it on the first day of the Bassmaster Elite Series event at Wheeler. Omori found himself in 72nd place after bringing in a mere 10-7, as the fish he located seemed to have vanished.

Grand Classic Primer
When events are only three years apart, it can be easy to compare them. Many are doing that with the 2016 Bassmaster Classic, which is back at Grand Lake after being there in 2013. Of course, plenty has changed since 2013. Heck, that year’s winner, Cliff Pace, won’t even be fishing the Classic this year.
Martens makes it two at Chesapeake
Aaron Martens is on fire. Not only did Martens win his second Elite Series event of the season (and eighth overall) on the Chesapeake Bay, he all but locked up the Angler of the Year title barring a catastrophic finish at Lake St. Clair. Of course, that doesn’t even tell the whole story. Get this:
